Who We Are
Shaw Therapy PLLC is a small, independent speech-language therapy practice based in Central Vermont. Founded in 2025 by Barclay Shaw, M.S. CCC-SLP, we offer a full range of speech-language services for people of all ages, both in-person and online. Our mission is simple: to help people express themselves with confidence and connect more fully with the world around them.
We’re grounded in compassion, science, and respect for each person's unique strengths. Whether you're a parent looking for support for your child or an adult navigating new communication challenges, we’re here to provide thoughtful, personalized care. Our goal is to create a welcoming space where clients can build real, lasting communication skills—at home, at school, at work, and in their communities.
Meet the Team
Barclay Shaw M.S. CCC-SLP
Barclay Shaw is a licensed speech-language pathologist and the founder of Shaw Therapy. He holds a Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from NYU and is certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
Barclay’s experience with clients spans early childhood to adulthood. He has worked in public schools, early intervention programs, and rehabilitation settings, helping clients with a wide variety of communication needs—speech sounds, language development, fluency (stuttering), voice, motor speech, cognitive-communication, and social skills. His work is driven by a strong belief that everyone deserves to be heard in their own voice.
When he’s not in the therapy room, Barclay can usually be found outside in the Green Mountains—canoeing, hiking, or biking. He’s also a fan of games, books, and lifelong learning.
