We work with families of infants and toddlers to support early communication. Our approach is play-based and integrated into daily routines. We look at everything from eye contact and gestures to vocabulary and how your child interacts with others. Our goal is to help families feel confident in supporting communication at home while laying the foundation for social and learning success.
Early Intervention
Some children struggle to produce certain speech sounds like /r/ or /s/, while others may have more complex speech disorders like apraxia or dysarthria. We tailor therapy to each child’s needs, using evidence-based techniques and lots of practice to help them speak more clearly and confidently. Early support can also help with later reading and writing challenges.
Articulation & Phonology
We support children who have trouble understanding language (receptive skills) and/or expressing themselves (expressive skills). Therapy might focus on vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, or higher-level skills like storytelling and conversation. For kids with reading comprehension challenges, we often use tools like Visualizing and Verbalizing to boost understanding. We also help students break down writing tasks and learn strategies to organize their thoughts.
Receptive & Expressive Language
Our evaluations are thorough and individualized. Whether you’re seeking insight into your child’s speech and language development or need an independent educational evaluation (IEE), we use a mix of observation, testing, and parent input to understand the full picture. Each evaluation comes with clear, actionable recommendations.
Comprehensive Evaluations
Fluency challenges, like stuttering, are more than just speech disruptions—they can impact how people feel about communication. Our work includes speech strategies, but also focuses on building confidence and helping people feel more at ease with their voice. We tailor therapy to the individual, using a mix of approaches, from fluency shaping to mindfulness and cognitive-behavioral strategies.
Stuttering & Fluency
Voice Therapy (Including Gender-Affirming Voice Work)
Your voice should reflect who you are. We work with people of all gender identities to explore and shape their vocal presentation in ways that feel safe, authentic, and affirming. This work involves understanding how the voice works, setting meaningful goals, and building skills over time. Sessions are collaborative and rooted in respect for identity and self-expression.
Motor Speech & Cognitive Communication
For individuals with motor-based speech disorders like apraxia or dysarthria, we offer targeted support to improve clarity, coordination, and consistency in speech. We also help people with cognitive communication disorders—those related to memory, attention, and problem-solving—regain or strengthen their ability to communicate effectively in everyday life. Therapy is always tailored to what matters most to the client.
AAC (Augmentative & Alternative Communication)
Some people need tools beyond spoken words to communicate. We help find and customize the right AAC systems—whether it’s a picture board or a high-tech speech device—and teach individuals and their families how to use them in real-life situations. Everyone deserves a way to express themselves, and we’re here to support that journey.
We don’t aim to “fix” or “normalize” social communication—we support clients in understanding social norms, making intentional choices, and developing a communication style that’s true to who they are. For neurodivergent individuals, our focus is on insight, self-advocacy, and connection. We offer both individual and group sessions depending on a client’s goals and needs.
Social Communication
Therapy doesn’t happen in a vacuum. We offer coaching for families and consultation for educators, helping everyone in a client’s life understand how to support communication more effectively. That might mean sharing strategies, troubleshooting tough moments, or designing communication-friendly environments.
Coaching & Consultation
We partner with schools and organizations to provide speech-language services on a contractual basis. This might include evaluations, IEP support, direct therapy, and staff training. We aim to be a reliable, collaborative extension of your existing team, always working toward the best outcomes for students.
